Auberge at Del Sur is one of the premier 55+ communities in San Diego. It is also one of the more recent, constructed between 2016-2018, and one of the closest in proximity to the City of San Diego and all it has to offer, including the airport. 

Auberge at Del Sur is an active adult gated community, consisting of 206 homes in both attached and single family detached floor plans. 

These traditionally-built homes feature 2-3 bedrooms and range in size from 1,276 to 2,923 square feet, all with two car garages. The smaller attached homes share a motor court, with four homes per driveway. The larger homes that line the outer perimeter of the community are called Summer House and have their own private driveways. These Summer House homes also feature beautiful long-range views of the surrounding Black Mountain Ranch area.

All of Auberge’s homes feature one-level living. However, quite a few homes offer a second level loft space, some with an upstairs bedroom and a bath, while other lofts have just a larger open space suitable for a game, TV or reading room. 

Auberge at Del Sur is beautifully suited for those who desire a lock-and-leave lifestyle. Getting to San Diego is quite easy and a trip to the airport or cruise ship terminal takes only a little over 30 minutes.

Auberge’s amenities include three very active pickle ball courts, a resort-style saltwater pool with dedicated lap swimming lanes, cabanas and fire features around it, a spa, BBQ area, bocce ball, a fabulous gym with both exercise machines and free weights, a library, a commercial kitchen, cafe-style lounge and several multi-function rooms. There are also two dog parks – designed for small and larger dog separation, and even a playground to keep the grandchildren entertained. Front yards are maintained by the HOA.

The community is also a golfer’s dream, with the golf courses of Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, Santa Luz, Torrey Pines and Rancho Bernardo just a short drive away.

There is plenty of shopping nearby with Target and Sprouts Farmers Market anchoring a shopping center less than 3 miles away. 

The community is surrounded by open space with hiking and biking trails and plenty of sidewalks.

The community does have Mello-Roos taxes. However, with the substantial K-12 education tax portion removed, these extra taxes are much lower than the surrounding all-age homes in the Del Sur area.

We at DreamWell Homes have been active at Auberge at Del Sur since ground was broken to construct the first homes – yes, we even got our feet muddy! So, we know this community intimately. We immediately knew that this community would be special, and it certainly has proven itself so.
