The Junipers 55+ community in San Diego which is under construction, include a mix of 455 for sale single-family detached homes and townhouses and 81 for rent attached homes for low-income seniors households.

The Rancho Penasquitos 55+ housing project was approved by the San Diego planning commission in April 2021 and unanimously approved by the San Diego City Council on June 15, 2021.
