One of the many benefits of being an Ocean Hills Country Club resident is the FREE RV parking inside the gates of the community. While a few other San Diego 55+ communities offer this amenity, none compare to OHCC’s facility in relation to security, size and quality.
What sets this apart from all of the others is that this RV park is separately gated and patrolled daily. Even more – it also contains both dump and wash stations so that residents can have ultra-clean RVs, making the beginning and end of their journeys more time efficient and comfortable.
This RV parking is available only to residents who have RVs, boats on trailers, and larger lifestyle vans, registered in their names and that are fully functional, that cannot fit in garages and driveways.
Anyone who has priced off-site storage for their boat or RV, in San Diego particularly, will certainly appreciate this benefit which saves them hundreds of dollars per month!
RV Parking spaces are usually available. However there are times when the lot is full, and in those cases names are drawn from a waiting list as spaces become vacated by exiting residents.
As an aside – OHCC has a very active RV club with approximately 225 members, that does numerous caravan trips per year together. Also OHCC Rules and Restrictions state that residents may park their RV in front of their home for a period of 48 hours at a time for loading and unloading purposes before and after trips.
A new facet of the RV club has recently taken shape in the community as well. It is called WOWs = Without Wheels. This is for OHCC residents who wish to go camping, but don’t own, or want to own an RV. Currently, there are about 100 residents follow the RVers in their cars and stay at hotels nearby the RV park. They get to spend their evenings in comfortable hotel rooms and their days at the RV parks with their fellow OHCC residents. These folks know how to have fun!
