When entering Ocean Hills Country Club’s amenity-filled clubhouse, one of the very first things that you will notice is the warm and comfortable library on the left-hand side of the foyer.
This beautiful space includes a fireplace, but the first thing that will catch your eye are the rich apothecary cabinets, shelves and drawers that line the walls.
The Ocean Hills Country Club library is an ideal place to reserve or check out books and or, read magazines or newspapers. There is also a chessboard perpetually set up that is very popular as well. If you care to exercise your brain a bit in helping to complete a puzzle, there is usually one available to work on.
Although the OHCC library is not a part of the San Diego County library system, for a very nominal annual fee, residents can join as library members to request the purchase of books that are not currently shelved. The library is also a popular volunteering opportunity to help in it’s daily operation, so if you’re interested in helping out, there’s a spot waiting for you.
Residents are also able to donate books to the library to share with the community.
The library regularly invites authors and speakers to discuss the books that they have written, or to discuss topics of interest with residents.
